This was our first visit to Bali, and it didn’t take long to see why so many people fall in love with the island.

After the heat and hustle of Vietnam, Bali greeted us with slightly kinder temperatures of 25-28 degrees each day. The main reason for our stop was something even better than beaches and mocktails – catching up with Bryan’s grandchildren and enjoying some quality family time.

There were plenty of laughs and special moments with the grandchildren. With the kids a little older and more independent, everyone had time to relax and do their own thing.

Of course, we still managed to fit in a few of our favourite holiday activities. Facials, massages, pedicures and manicures were all part of the schedule – purely for relaxation, naturally. Bali makes it very easy to justify a little pampering.

Beautiful beach sunsets, fun family meals, a few well-earned drinks and a spot of shopping (because our suitcases clearly weren’t full enough) made for the perfect mix of family time and holiday fun.

Sometimes the best travel days aren’t about ticking attractions off a list. They’re about spending time with the people you love, exploring new places and appreciating the simple things. Bali is delivering exactly that.
